Thoughtful piece, and there are many faces and great writers I miss seeing here. But I've been around time enough to see Medium play favourites in all their fickle glory -- I'd say ask them why they're shutting those conversations down. Not by censorship, but by algorithm. As someone who enjoys reading fiction and poetry, I'm an old soldier when it comes to fighting the algorithm. I get less stories about bitcoin now (I guess they fell out of favour), but Medium will still do its utmost to keep me away from the stories I want to read, and the conversations I want to have. They seem quite fixed in their determination that they know best what we should be reading.
